Sophie Pattinson is a textile artist. She spends several months each yearworking in remote areas of Bangladesh training needy womenin the craft of Nakshi Kantha embriodery. Her aim is to provide these women withwith an income from their endeavours.

  
 

By combining their skills with a range of her own unique contemporary designs she has produce a range of superb quality products in Tussar Silk.

Items are produced to the highest standard and finished works are sold to customers who appreciate the blend of subtle colours and designs, superb craftsmanship and natural materials.

In addition to her embroidery projects in Bangladesh Sophie also specialises in producing large scale woven and painted wall hangings .

These items are woven in her Hampshire studio and are based on a unique style she developed during her studies at art college and further enhanced after much experimentation. The finished results combine both the qualities of tapestry and painting and can be found displated in the foyers of many prestigious companies.

Private collections are held in the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA
